A few key questions will get you on your way.
Welcome
If you are curious about adding heat pumps to a building you own, manage, or operate in downtown Toronto, you are in the right place.
The equipment in your building today was most likely designed for a future that no longer exists. Because of this, buildings that use fossil fuels could become stranded assets. New buildings increasingly focus on energy efficiency and reducing fossil fuel use in response to current or anticipated regulatory and market shifts. The good news is, it’s not too late to consider whether electrifying your building with heat pumps is right for you.
The Heat Pump Highway is designed so you understand more about heat pumps, whether they are the right technology for your next building HVAC replacement or upgrade project, and develop a general understanding of how to evaluate options.
Q1: Is now the right time to consider heat pumps?
Are you
expecting to replace a failing or end of life HVAC system?
renovating your building?
adding air conditioning?
looking for ways in which to decarbonize your building assets?
Q2: What kind of heating / cooling system do you have?
